‘Reasonable Prices, Healthy Consumption’ Wando-gun Campaign Launched
Promotion of Restraint on Excessive Product Price Increases and Use of Fair-Priced Businesses
[Wando=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Kyung-pil] On the 10th, Wando-gun, Jeollanam-do, launched a price stabilization campaign under the slogan "Fair Price! Sound Consumption!" together with the merchants' association and owners of fair-priced stores at the local traditional market.
This campaign was conducted jointly by the public and private sectors to raise awareness of the price situation and create an atmosphere encouraging participation in price stabilization, as the rising prices have increased difficulties for local residents.
On that day, targeting merchants and residents visiting the traditional market, the campaign promoted and distributed flyers urging ▲restraint on excessive price increases of products ▲compliance with origin labeling ▲participation in sound consumer activities ▲use of local products and traditional markets ▲use of fair-priced stores.
The county plans to continue the campaign and promote measures such as managing public utility fees and expanding the designation of fair-priced stores.
A county official said, "Since this is a difficult time for both consumers and business owners due to high prices, we ask for your cooperation in refraining from price increases and using fair-priced stores in traditional markets."
