View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Yoon-joo] The Busan branch of the Korea Financial Investment Association, in collaboration with the Busan International Financial Center (BIFC), will hold an online financial lecture via BIFC's YouTube channel starting at 3 PM on the 15th.
The lecture topic is "Inflation, Domestic and International Economic Trends, and Asset Market Outlook." The session will be moderated by Choi Gap-su, a research fellow at the Investor Education Council, with Lee Jong-woo, Chief Economist (former Head of IBK Investment & Securities Research Center), as the discussant.
The lecture will be divided into two parts to facilitate viewers' understanding and convenience.
Part 1, "Domestic and International Inflation and Economic Trends," will examine the global struggles with inflation caused by labor market instability and other factors, exploring the fundamental reasons and future outlook. Amid rising concerns about raw materials, especially oil prices, and stagflation, the current status and future prospects of the U.S., China, and South Korea's economies will also be discussed.
Additionally, the prolonged Ukraine crisis and its geopolitical risks' impact on the Korean economy will be analyzed in depth.
Part 2, "Central Bank Policy Directions and Asset Market Outlook," will cover how long the U.S. interest rate hikes are expected to continue, the progression of liquidity reduction, and the Federal Reserve's policy stance on rising asset prices, including real estate.
Furthermore, the Bank of Korea's policies addressing the ongoing concerns over domestic household debt will be reviewed.
