The Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA) forecasted that until dawn, showers accompanied by thunder and lightning will fall in Seoul, northern Gyeonggi, and northern Gangwon Yeongseo due to atmospheric instability. The KMA lifted the heavy rain warning issued at 6 a.m. for Namyangju and Uijeongbu in Gyeonggi Province.
From afternoon to evening, showers of about 5 to 40mm will fall in the Seoul metropolitan area and central to northern Gangwon Yeongseo.
The KMA stated, "In areas where showers occur, there may be gusts of wind accompanied by thunder and lightning, and hail may also fall. Very heavy rain in narrow areas may cause sudden flooding in valleys, rivers, waterworks, and retention basins, so avoid approaching these areas or evacuate quickly to a safe place if you hear thunder."
From night, rain will fall in Gangwon Yeongdong due to easterly winds. By the 15th, 10 to 40mm of rain is expected in the Gangwon mountainous areas and 5 to 20mm along the Gangwon east coast.
In Jeju Island, rain will start in the morning due to a pressure trough. From dawn tomorrow, rain will expand to the Jeolla and Gyeongsang regions and mostly stop at night. Expected precipitation amounts are 10 to 40mm for Jeju Island and the Gyeongsang coastal areas, and 5 to 20mm from the 14th for inland Jeolla and Gyeongsang regions, as well as Ulleungdo and Dokdo.
The whole country will be mostly cloudy, and temperatures will be similar to the average (daytime highs of 23 to 29 degrees Celsius). The highest daytime temperatures on the 13th will be 28°C in Seoul, 28°C in Suwon, 27°C in Daejeon, 25°C in Gwangju, and 23°C in Busan. Due to easterly winds, daytime temperatures in Gangwon Yeongdong and the eastern coast of North Gyeongsang will be around 20°C.
