According to the Sacheon Coast Guard Station in Gyeongnam on the 11th, Mr. A arrived at the island by motorboat from Noryang Port to catch shellfish and other seafood during low tide.
Mr. A, who did not secure the motorboat before relieving himself, noticed that the boat had drifted out to sea and reported it to the Coast Guard. The Noryang Police Substation's coastal rescue boat was dispatched urgently.
The Coast Guard could not approach the island closely due to shallow surrounding waters, so they urgently mobilized a private marine rescue vessel to rescue Mr. A and to tow the drifting motorboat back to Noryang Port.
