Suncheon-si Holds the 1st Boundary Determination Committee Meeting

[Suncheon=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] Jeollanam-do Suncheon City announced on the 10th that it held the Boundary Determination Committee for the cadastral re-survey of Seomyeon Dongsan District, Songgwang 1 District, and Sangsa 1 District to deliberate and decide on boundary matters.
The Boundary Determination Committee was held with the participation of 10 members, including Chairman Kim Byung-soo (Chief Judge of Gwangju District Court Suncheon Branch), representatives of landowners, lawyers, and experts in the field of cadastral re-survey.

The committee deliberated·decided on the boundaries for 586 parcels (368,973㎡) in Seomyeon Dongsan District, 1,804 parcels (1,142,344㎡) in Songgwang 1 District, and 1,129 parcels (1,095,411㎡) in Sangsa 1 District in accordance with Article 14 of the Special Act on Cadastral Re-survey.
The determined boundaries will be notified to landowners and stakeholders via boundary determination notices, and if they disagree, they may file an objection within 60 days from the date of receipt of the notice.
If no objection is filed within the deadline, the city will finalize the boundaries, complete the preparation of new cadastral records, settle adjustment payments, and complete the project.
A Suncheon City official stated, “Upon completion of the cadastral re-survey project, conflicts among landowners caused by boundary disputes will be resolved, and issues such as landlocked parcels, building encroachments, and land regularization will be addressed, thereby enhancing the land’s utilization value.” He added, “We ask for continued interest and cooperation in the cadastral re-survey project.”
