Samsung Electronics introduced the in-house venture nurturing program "C-Lab Inside" to spread a creative organizational culture and a "challenge culture that does not fear failure" within the company. A spin-off system is also implemented to allow excellent in-house venture projects to spin off as startups. To revitalize domestic startups and support entrepreneurship, "C-Lab Outside," which opens C-Lab to the outside, was newly established.
Through C-Lab, Samsung Electronics has nurtured a total of 426 in-house ventures and startups (182 in-house, 244 external) to date. The 244 startups nurtured through C-Lab Outside have attracted a total of 430 billion KRW in follow-up investments.
Under the company's core values of "Pursuit of Mutual Growth and Integrity Management," Samsung focuses on building a sustainable win-win cooperation system by enhancing the competitiveness of partner companies and establishing partnerships, strengthening win-win strategies for mutual growth. A representative example is the "Smart Factory Construction Support Project," a manufacturing environment improvement project for small and medium-sized enterprises and mid-sized companies started in 2015. Up to last year, support was provided for the construction of smart factories for more than 2,800 companies.
