"Wounds to the People Who Lost the Regime Amid Pro-Park and Jin-Park Controversies"
[Asia Economy Reporter Kwon Hyun-ji] The pro-Yoon (pro-Yoon Seok-yeol) faction of the People Power Party, a group tentatively named ‘Mindeulle,’ will be launched on the 15th. Some within the party have expressed concerns about the consolidation of pro-Yoon forces.
Mindeulle is an abbreviation of “Minshim Deul-eo Bol-lae” (Want to Hear the Public’s Opinion), a group formed with the purpose of sharing policy information on national issues and conveying public sentiment through weekly breakfast meetings. On the 9th, Lee Yong-ho and Lee Cheol-gyu, lawmakers from the People Power Party and close aides to President Yoon Seok-yeol, sent an official letter encouraging all party members’ offices to join the group.
Although it is described as an open platform for all lawmakers, there are forecasts that the pro-Yoon factionalization has begun in earnest. About 30 lawmakers who have already expressed their intention to participate are known to be pro-Yoon. Lawmakers Jang Je-won and Jeong Hee-yong, who closely assisted President Yoon during the presidential election and transition period, are also expected to participate.
Lee Jun-seok, leader of the People Power Party, publicly expressed a critical stance toward Mindeulle. On the day, while returning from Ukraine, he told reporters, “I don’t really understand the purpose of the group,” adding, “Since official channels such as the party-government-presidential council are already operating, I don’t think there is a need to form a separate private organization.” He further stated, “If they want to form a private group, they should do so for fellowship in line with the purpose. Bringing up names like the Prime Minister or ministers to show off strength is an unfair pressure on the government from the start, and I think it is a group that the public has no reason to view favorably.”
The leader also said, “I hope the media refrains from even calling it a pro-Yoon group. For supporters and citizens who lost the administration due to controversies like pro-Park and Jin-Park factions, such remarks are very hurtful,” adding, “Those attending the group should declare it as a simple fellowship meeting, and if it is a study group, I don’t know what they would study, but I hope they do not involve government officials.”

He continued, “President Yoon Seok-yeol’s philosophy is very clear and precise,” emphasizing, “He stresses freedom and creativity, and above all, responsible governance. Each person should act according to the philosophy of the Yoon administration, and I don’t think there is any need to form cliques.”
