Dongmyeong University Sweeps Top Excellence Education Institution and Best Organization Awards at International Beauty Master Contest
The Department of Beauty Care at Dongmyung University is taking a group commemorative photo after the 2022 International Beauty Master Contest.

Students from the Beauty Care Department also won top awards including the Hair Division Grand Prize, the Busan Mayor's Award, and the Dongmyung University President's Award.
Kim Ye-eun, the Hair Division Grand Prix winner, said, "It was tough staying after school every day to prepare for the competition, but it was fun, and I am very happy to have achieved good results with the support of the professors."
Professor Kim Seo-in, the advisor, said, "With the extracurricular activity CUP, the school supported material and snack expenses, which encouraged the students, and they must have grown a lot during the preparation process for hair creative skills, the pinnacle of beauty skills."
This year's 6th International Beauty Master Contest was held both as an online contest and an offline beauty contest due to COVID-19.
The event was attended by over 800 participants from Korea, Japan, China, Vietnam, Mongolia, and others, as well as National Assembly member Baek Jong-heon.
Under the banner of ‘International Beauty Global Talent Development, Overseas Job Creation, and K-Beauty Health and Healthy Beauty,’ the contest featured university students, high school students, and academy students.
The competition included categories such as hair, skin beauty, makeup, nail art, eyelash extensions, semi-permanent makeup, and waxing.

The Beauty Care Department at Dongmyung University in Busan offers undergraduate (Beauty Care Department), master's (Graduate School of Welfare Industry, Department of Beauty Arts and Fragrance), and doctoral programs (Graduate School, Department of Beauty Arts and Fragrance), and is the only industry-academia practical beauty department in the southeastern region with a beauty teacher training program.
