Gwangju Gyeongjinwon Launches ESG Committee to "Strengthen Fair Management"
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] The Gwangju Metropolitan City Economic Employment Promotion Agency launched the ‘ESG Management Committee’ on the 8th and began strengthening ESG (Environment, Social, Governance) management.
The ESG Committee appointed Jeong Jin-cheol, Dean of Chosun University Graduate School, as chairman and is composed of 16 external experts from industry, academia, and related organizations.
The committee will carry out roles such as reviewing and deciding on ESG management promotion plans, establishing ESG management operation standards, and managing and advising on ESG management performance.
Additionally, it decided to propose policies for ESG management, provide advice on overall management, gather expert opinions, and seek response measures including social contribution activities.
