[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Jong-hwa] Asia Cement and Halla Cement have decided to fully sponsor the cement and dry mortar to be used in Korea Habitat's 2022 'Building Hope Homes' project free of charge.
Asia Cement and Halla Cement have supported Korea Habitat's 'Building Hope Homes' project for vulnerable housing groups every year since 2001, aiming to fulfill their corporate social responsibility. Accordingly, they jointly sponsor all the cement and dry mortar used in the project (including logistics costs), and they have decided to continue the same support this year.
The signing ceremony was held at 2 p.m. on the 8th at the Asia Cement headquarters located in Asia Tower, Yeoksam-dong, Seoul. Lim Kyung-tae, CEO of Asia Cement and Halla Cement, and Yoon Hyung-joo, Chairman of Korea Habitat, attended the ceremony and signed the agreement.
Following this agreement, the volunteer work of employees from both companies at the 'Building Hope Homes' construction sites, which had been paused due to COVID-19, will resume starting in August.
