Naver Union "Subsidiary Employees Should Also Share Performance" ... Filed for Mediation at Central Labor Relations Commission
[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Nahum] The Naver labor union announced plans to apply for joint mediation with the Central Labor Relations Commission following the breakdown of wage and collective bargaining negotiations with five of its subsidiary companies.
The Naver branch of the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions' Chemical, Textile, and Food Workers' Union held a press conference in front of Naver headquarters on the morning of the 8th, stating, "We tried to find ways to improve the treatment of affiliate workers through labor-management negotiations, but the talks broke down due to the parent company Naver's evasion of responsibility and the limitations of each corporation."
The companies for which the Naver branch has applied for mediation are subsidiaries under Naver I&S, including ▲ NIT Service (NIT) ▲ N Tech Service (NTS) ▲ Green Web Service ▲ Incomes ▲ Companions.
The Naver branch explained that following a tentative agreement reached in April with the parent company Naver, they demanded a 10% annual salary increase, monthly welfare points of 150,000 KRW, and the establishment of a dedicated organization to address workplace harassment, but all five companies rejected these demands.

He added, "We will faithfully carry out the mediation application process, and if mediation fails, we will plan and initiate strike actions."
