Cheongam University Department of Optometry Holds Meeting Among Industry, Professors, and Students
[Suncheon=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] The Department of Optometry at Cheongam University (Acting President Oh Mi-seong) announced on the 8th that it held a meeting with excellent industry representatives from various fields, along with students and professors participating in the project.
This meeting was part of the Health and Medical Service Professional Workforce Training Project, with participation from Deobalk Eun Ophthalmology, KS Optics, Yi Sun-shin Optical Shop, Optical Manager, Optical Eye Zone, Idea Optical Shop, Second Face Optical Shop, and I&Eye.
Although there were many difficulties in industry-academia cooperation including field training due to COVID-19 over the past three years, this meeting, held as daily life returned to normal, aimed to reduce mismatches between industry and students and strengthen rapport through mutual exchange of opinions between students participating in field training and industry practitioners, thereby establishing efficient education implementation and industry-academia cooperation plans.
Park Sung-jong, head of the Health and Medical Service Professional Workforce Training Project Group at Cheongam University, is conducting meetings involving industry, students, and professors by department, reflecting the results to prepare for field training and promote customized employment and industry-academia cooperation plans.

Through operating an industry-demand customized, field-centered curriculum, it enhances students' job competencies in industrial sites and strengthens employment connections with local industries, contributing to resolving youth employment difficulties and realizing a Jeonnam where young people return.
