Professor Jinseong Kim, Department of Neurosurgery at Seoul St. Mary's Hospital, Appointed Editor-in-Chief of the European Spine Society's 'Special Issue on Spinal Endoscopy'
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Gwan-joo] Catholic University Seoul St. Mary's Hospital announced on the 8th that Professor Kim Jin-sung of the Department of Neurosurgery has been appointed as the editor-in-chief of the special issue on spinal endoscopy of the official journal of the European Spine Society, 'European Spine Journal.'
Starting this month and for one year, Professor Kim will be responsible for reviewing and deciding on the publication of papers submitted worldwide in the field of spinal endoscopy.
'European Spine Journal,' established in 1992, is a leading research journal in the field of spine studies, publishing important research results across a broad range of topics including diagnosis and treatment of spinal diseases, basic research related to spinal regeneration, biomechanics, biomaterials, and spinal surgery.
Professor Kim has conducted various studies focusing on minimally invasive spinal surgery for degenerative spinal diseases, especially in the fields of endoscopic and microscopic surgery, and has consistently published over 160 papers as a primary author in domestic and international academic journals.

In particular, he has served as a director of the Korean Society of Spine Neurosurgery and the Korean Society of Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery, a governance committee member of the North American Spine Society (NASS), a founding member of the Minimally Invasive Spine Section, an international education committee member, an AOSpine Minimally Invasive Task Force member, and an international chair of the Society of American Minimally Invasive Surgery. As a global leader in minimally invasive spinal surgery, he actively engages in lectures and education both domestically and internationally.
