PCL exports COVID-19 saliva test kits to Taiwan... valued at 11 billion KRW
Scheduled for Sale at Over 49,000 Stores Across Taiwan Starting from the 7th
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Young-won] PCL announced on the 7th that it has signed an export contract worth approximately 11 billion KRW with Bukung International Company Ltd., a Taiwanese distribution specialist, for its COVID-19 saliva test kits.
Earlier, PCL's saliva self-test kit 'PCL SELF TEST-COVID19 Ag' received official approval from the Taiwan Food and Drug Administration (TFDA) on the 23rd of last month (local time). It has also been approved for sale in Korea, Europe, and Canada.
The products exported to Taiwan are scheduled to be sold from the 7th at 26 distribution channels and over 49,000 stores within Taiwan.
Bukung International Company Ltd. CEO Bukung Chang, responsible for distribution in Taiwan, stated, "We plan to conduct a social contribution program for six months in collaboration with Taiwan's public broadcaster SETTV to provide PCL saliva self-test kits free of charge to children in underdeveloped areas."

A PCL official said, "The Taiwanese government is also requesting continuous large-scale exports of our products," adding, "We will do our best, including operating the factory at full capacity to deliver goods twice a week by chartered flights."
