Namseoul Nonghyup Practices 'Urban-Rural Win-Win' with Interest-Free Advance Payments and Agricultural Materials Delivery

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Gwan-joo] Namseoul Nonghyup visited Seoganghwa Nonghyup in Incheon on the 3rd to hold a ceremony for the delivery of interest-free advance payments and farming materials to practice urban-rural coexistence.
On this day, to practice urban-rural coexistence, Namseoul Nonghyup delivered a total of 3.4 billion KRW in interest-free advance payments to four mountain-area Nonghyups in Incheon (1 billion KRW to Ganghwa Nonghyup, 800 million KRW to Baengnyeong Nonghyup, 800 million KRW to Ganghwa Nambu Nonghyup, and 800 million KRW to Seoganghwa Nonghyup), along with 40 million KRW worth of farming materials.
Namseoul Nonghyup, aiming to support the struggling agriculture sector facing soaring farming material costs due to unstable international conditions and labor shortages caused by aging, delivered 18 billion KRW in interest-free shipment advance payments to 27 mountain-area Nonghyups this year as part of its urban-rural coexistence efforts. Since 2004, the cumulative support amount has reached 160.8 billion KRW across 322 Nonghyups.
Additionally, to provide practical help to mountain-area farmers, the urban-rural coexistence farming material support project continues, whereby farming materials needed by farmers are directly purchased and delivered through mountain-area Nonghyups. This year, 320 million KRW worth of farming materials are being supported to 44 mountain-area Nonghyups.
