Bank of Korea to Proceed with Sale of Sogong Annex for 147.8 Billion Won
The Bank of Korea is planning to sell the Sogong Annex located in Jung-gu, Seoul, for 147.8 billion KRW.
On the 2nd, the Bank of Korea announced that it has decided to sell the Sogong Annex, which is expected to become vacant after the completion of the integrated annex currently under construction and the subsequent relocation of departments in the head office, and has opened a bidding process.
The Sogong Annex was built in 1965 as the former Commercial Bank (now Woori Bank) head office building. The completion ceremony was attended by President Park Chung-hee and Prime Minister Jeong Il-gwon, among others.
It was then purchased by Haechang on August 28, 2003, and underwent a full remodeling, and the Bank of Korea acquired it on March 9, 2005. The building consists of 13 floors above ground and 1 basement floor, and is currently used as office space for some departments of the head office.
The bidding will be conducted through the Korea Asset Management Corporation's electronic asset disposal system (Onbid), with an estimated price of approximately 147.8 billion KRW. The highest bidder will be selected as the successful bidder.

An explanatory meeting will be held on the 23rd at 2 p.m. on the 13th floor of the Sogong Annex. Bids will be accepted from the 29th of this month until the 12th of next month, and the bid opening will take place at 10 a.m. on the 13th.
