'PM Global Competitiveness Enhancement Forum' to be Held on the 10th
[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Seoyul] The ‘PM (Construction Project Management) Global Competitiveness Enhancement’ forum, hosted by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and the Korea Construction Management Association, will be held at 2 PM on the 10th in the medium conference room on the 2nd floor of the Construction Hall in Nonhyeon-dong, Gangnam-gu.
This forum was planned to build social consensus on the importance of expanding PM in the construction industry and to explore ways to strengthen PM global competitiveness. It is sponsored by HanmiGlobal, Dohwa Engineering, and the Korea Construction Engineering Association.
The forum will mainly cover topics such as the introduction of PM in the ‘Construction Engineering Development Plan’ announced by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, legislative and institutional promotion directions for activating PM in the public sector including amendments to the Construction Technology Promotion Act, and support measures for activating private PM and overseas expansion.
The discussion, chaired by Professor Kim Hansu of Sejong University, will include participants such as Yoon Sangwon, officer at the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport; Dr. Kim Wooyoung of the Korea Institute of Construction Industry; Jin Kyungho, center director at the Korea Institute of Civil Engineering and Building Technology; Nam Woosung, vice president of Dohwa Engineering; Heo Geun, executive director of the Technology Strategy Team at Samwoo CM; and Kim Kyungtae, head of the Construction Strategy Research Institute at HanmiGlobal.
