This is 16.4 percentage points lower than the same time (46.7%) during the previous 7th local elections.
Out of a total of 1,206,886 registered voters, 365,514 have voted.
By region, Dong-gu recorded 34.7%, Seo-gu 32%, Nam-gu 32.3%, Buk-gu 30.3%, and Gwangsan-gu 26.7% voter turnout.
In the Jeonnam area, the current voter turnout rate is 50%.
Although this is 8.7 percentage points lower than the same time (58.7%) during the 7th local elections, it is currently the highest turnout rate among the 17 metropolitan autonomous districts.
Out of a total of 1,580,098 registered voters, 792,940 have completed voting.
By region, Goheung-gun recorded 71.6%, Sinan 69.7%, Jindo 69.6%, Gurye 68.2%, Gokseong 66.6%, Jangseong and Yeonggwang 62.5%, etc. The lowest region is Yeosu-si with 34.7% voter turnout.
Voting, which started at 6 a.m. today, will continue until 6 p.m. However, confirmed or quarantined persons due to COVID-19 can vote from 6:30 p.m. and must arrive at the polling station by 7:30 p.m.

To vote, one must bring an ID issued by a public institution such as a resident registration card, passport, or driver's license.
