On the 1st, the Geumcheon Police Station in Seoul announced that it had received a complaint requesting an investigation into Lee, the CEO of the corporation 'Benodi Global,' and other investment consulting firm officials on charges of fraud.
According to the police, similar complaints have been continuously filed since last week.
The complainants claim that the defendants received investment funds from investors by using false information that 'Benodi Global will soon be listed' since early this year and then disappeared.
It is reported that the number of investment victims gathered through open chat rooms and other means has reached about 100.
