SNT Motive Gains Wings in Global Market with International Vehicle SW Certification... Achieves 'ASPICE Level 2'
Passed International Standard for Electronic and Electrical Component SW Development Process
Recognized for Development Capability and Quality Reliability of Electric Oil Pump
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Global automotive parts company SNT Motive has gained momentum for market expansion by obtaining international certification for vehicle software development.
On the 31st, SNT Motive announced that it had acquired the ‘ASPICE (Automotive Software Process Improvement & Capability Determination)’ Level 2 certification, an international standard for the development process of software (SW) for vehicle electronic and electrical components.
ASPICE is an international certification used by global automakers to evaluate software development processes and quality capabilities such as design and management for their parts suppliers.
In 2020, SNT Motive was selected as a supplier of Electric Oil Pumps installed in passenger cars and SUVs produced in North America by global automakers through Hyundai Transys. Accordingly, SNT Motive formed a project organization to prepare for ASPICE certification, product development, and mass production.
SNT Motive needed ASPICE Level 2 or higher certification to supply parts to global automakers. With this certification acquisition, the company has enhanced its development process and quality competitiveness, strengthening its position as a global automotive parts supplier.
In particular, with the expansion of the eco-friendly vehicle market, this is evaluated as an opportunity to further expand the Electric Oil Pump business.
An SNT Motive official said, “Obtaining ASPICE Level 2 certification has become an opportunity to be objectively recognized by global automakers for our development capabilities and quality reliability of Electric Oil Pumps.”
