Daejeon Jaesaeng Korean Medicine Hospital Conducts Graveyard Cleanup at National Daejeon Memorial Cemetery Ahead of Memorial Day
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Gwan-joo] Daejeon Jaseng Korean Medicine Hospital, under the Jaseng Medical Foundation, announced on the 30th that it conducted a graveyard cleaning volunteer activity at the National Daejeon Cemetery to honor the noble sacrifices of the patriotic martyrs and war veterans ahead of Memorial Day and the Month of Patriots and Veterans.
On that day, 25 employees of Daejeon Jaseng Korean Medicine Hospital and the Daejeon Jaseng Volunteer Group visited the 3rd graveyard of soldiers at the National Daejeon Cemetery and began the volunteer activity with a moment of silence for the patriotic martyrs. The volunteers planted 851 Taegeukgi flags next to the tombstones where the patriotic martyrs rest, personally cleaned the gravestones, and picked up trash as part of the graveyard cleaning activities.
Kim Chang-yeon, director of Daejeon Jaseng Korean Medicine Hospital, said, “The Jaseng Medical Foundation and Jaseng Korean Medicine Hospital, established to inherit the spirit of the independence movement, will continue to carry out patriotic volunteer activities to pay respect and honor to the patriotic martyrs and war veterans. Furthermore, we will take the lead in caring for the health of national merit recipients who devoted themselves to the country and their families by applying our expertise in treating spinal and joint diseases.”
