[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Kim] SSG.com is engaging in sharing practices through employee participation donation campaigns, including the employee walking campaign 'SSG Dream Walking.'
On the 30th, SSG.com held a donation ceremony at the headquarters of the international relief and development NGO 'Save the Children' in Mapo-gu, Seoul, and announced that it had delivered a donation of 10 million KRW to be used for children affected by the Uljin wildfire.
In April, SSG.com conducted the 'SSG Dream Walking Campaign' targeting all employees for one month, where if the cumulative number of steps taken by participants exceeded 100 million steps, the company would donate 10 million KRW. All employees participated in the campaign, achieving a cumulative total of 180 million steps.
With this donation of 10 million KRW, SSG.com will assist children affected by the wildfire that occurred in Uljin, Gyeongnam, in March. To ensure the children's safe living and strengthen their immunity, 'Health Nutrition Package Kits' consisting of necessary daily items such as nutritional supplements, nutritious snacks, masks, and self-test kits will be provided to children affected by the wildfire in the Uljin area. SSG.com stated, "We hope that the children can heal some of the physical and psychological pain caused by the large wildfire."
Given the nature of donation campaigns where sincerity and sustainability are important, SSG.com is conducting various employee participation donation campaigns to establish a donation culture where each employee can voluntarily participate as the main agent.
In addition to the 'SSG Dream Walking Campaign,' which donates based on the number of steps walked, SSG.com actively practices neighborhood sharing through campaigns such as the 'Book Sharing Campaign,' which collects books donated by employees and delivers them to the social enterprise Beautiful Store; the 'Employee Blood Donation Certificate Donation Campaign,' which donates blood donation certificates voluntarily contributed by employees over a year to the Korea Childhood Cancer Foundation; and the 'Hope Delivery Campaign,' where the company matches the amount voluntarily donated by employees each month and donates the matched amount.
Park Sang-dae, head of the CSR team at SSG.com, said, "Employees are consistently engaging in sharing activities that help neighbors in need of social attention while taking care of their health in daily life," adding, "We will continue to plan and operate various social contribution campaigns in the future."

Meanwhile, in October last year, SSG.com also conducted a walking campaign for all employees, exceeding the initial goal by 160% with 160 million steps walked, surpassing the donation condition. The 10 million KRW raised through this was donated to the Save the Children headquarters, contributing to the 'DREAM' project that supports education and housing environment improvement for children in low-income grandparent-headed households.
