Jeonnam Education Superintendent Poll, Candidate Kim Dae-jung Leads with 25.8% Within Margin of Error

In a poll conducted by Korea Research from the 23rd to the 25th at the request of the three major terrestrial broadcasters MBC, KBS, and SBS, candidate Kim Dae-jung showed a support rate of 25.8%, narrowly ahead of candidate Jang Seok-woong, who had a support rate of 23.9% within the margin of error.
Candidate Kim Dong-hwan received 6.1%. The responses for no preferred candidate and don't know accounted for 44.2%.
The survey targeted men and women aged 18 and over residing in 17 cities and provinces nationwide, with a sample size of 14,020 nationwide and 800 in Jeonnam.
The survey method was 100% telephone interviews using virtual mobile phone numbers, with a response rate of 24.1% in Jeonnam, and a sampling error of ±3.1%P to ±3.5%P at a 95% confidence level.
Earlier, a poll conducted on the 22nd by five local media outlets including Namdo Ilbo, Jeonnam Maeil, Gwangju Maeil, Gwangju Buddhist Broadcasting, and Gwangju Dream, commissioned to the polling specialist company R&Search Co., surveyed 801 adults aged 18 and over residing in Jeonnam. The results showed candidates Kim Dae-jung and Jang Seok-woong each with 33.4% support.
Candidate Kim Dong-hwan was recorded at 8.2%.
The R&Search poll was conducted using a structured questionnaire with samples extracted through virtual numbers provided by the three major news agencies, using 100% wireless virtual number automated response surveys. The response rate was 11.6%, with a sampling error of ±3.5%P at a 95% confidence level.
