For the Proper Establishment of Game Culture... Dong-Eui University and Game Culture Foundation Conduct 'Guardian Game Literacy Education'

On the 26th, Dong-Eui University and the Game Culture Foundation held the ‘2022 Guardian Game Literacy Education’ at the Prime Convention Multipurpose Hall on the first floor of the Industry-University Cooperation Building at Dong-Eui University.
About 100 people attended the event, including Professor Kim Chi-yong, majoring in Game Engineering at Dong-Eui University, Hwang Jae-sung, Head of Game Culture Education Team 2 at the Game Culture Foundation, and students majoring in Game Engineering.
At the event, Jang Hyun-young, Executive Director at NCSoft, gave a lecture titled ‘Games and Gamers as a Profession.’
In the lecture, Executive Director Jang explained ▲the current status of game usage in Korea ▲the development and current state of the game industry ▲introductions to game companies, covering the culture, welfare, and growth rate of the game industry.
Professor Kim Chi-yong, who planned the event and is majoring in Game Engineering at Dong-Eui University, said, “I am grateful to have attracted the Game Culture Foundation’s beneficial education program to the Game Engineering major at Dong-Eui University in Busan for the first time,” and added, “We will operate more diverse and better programs to establish a proper gaming culture.”
The Game Culture Foundation was established to promote a healthy gaming culture and conducts the ‘Guardian Game Literacy Education,’ hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and organized by the Korea Creative Content Agency, to foster proper understanding and guidance of games.
In April, Dong-Eui University held the ‘Game Content Post-Management Supporters Launch Ceremony,’ conducting SNS promotional activities to eradicate illegal game content in cooperation with the Game Rating and Administration Committee.
On the 16th, NHN donated high-performance PCs through the ‘Love PC Sharing’ initiative, which were installed in the practice rooms and department club rooms of the Department of Digital Content Game Engineering at the College of ICT Engineering.

The installed PCs are being used for classes and practical exercises ranging from basic programming to advanced games and artificial intelligence.
