Pyeongtaek Port Authority Provides 3 Million KRW Logistics Support per Exporting SME
[Asia Economy (Pyeongtaek) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] The Gyeonggi Pyeongtaek Port Authority will start providing logistics cost subsidies to small and medium-sized export companies using Pyeongtaek Port from next month.
The Pyeongtaek Port Authority announced on the 27th that it held the '2022 Cargo Attraction Incentive and Payment Review Committee' on the 25th and decided on the payment method for export logistics cost subsidies for small and medium-sized export companies.
The logistics cost support project was introduced to strengthen the export competitiveness of small and medium-sized export companies and increase cargo volume at Pyeongtaek Port. The payment targets are small and medium-sized enterprises exporting through Pyeongtaek Port.
The payment amount is limited to 3 million KRW per company annually, covering 50% of export logistics costs. The payment items include ▲Ocean Freight ▲Terminal Handling Charge ▲Trucking Charge ▲CFS Charge.
The Pyeongtaek Port Authority will announce the recruitment of participating companies early next month and accept subsidy application forms. The subsidies will be paid quarterly after review by the Payment Review Committee.

A Pyeongtaek Port Authority official emphasized, "We will spare no support for small and medium-sized shippers facing logistics difficulties due to rising logistics costs such as ocean freight," and added, "We will discover and promote various support measures to become the optimal port for small and medium-sized enterprise export logistics."
