Daejeon City and Autonomous Districts Joint Inspection on Hygiene Management of Delivery Restaurants
[Asia Economy (Daejeon) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] Daejeon City announced on the 27th that from the 30th of this month to the 3rd of next month, it will conduct hygiene inspections of delivery app-registered restaurants in cooperation with five autonomous districts.
The inspection will target 119 restaurants specializing in jokbal (pig's trotters) and bossam (boiled pork), which mainly receive delivery orders.
The city and the autonomous districts will focus on checking hygienic handling standards of food, storage and use of expired products, hygienic management within cooking facilities, and compliance with other food sanitation laws during the inspection.
Furthermore, administrative measures will be taken against businesses that violate the Food Sanitation Act or receive non-compliance results from sample collection and inspection, and serious violations or intentional and habitual food violations will be subject to prosecution.
