According to a YTN report on the 26th, a 9-year-old child was caught by the store owner while trying to leave a supermarket in Daejeon with drinks and toys.
However, the store owner focused more on the suspicious bruises on the child's arm than on the theft attempt. Judging it as a sign of child abuse, the owner reported it to the police.
The store owner said, "I saw many bruises on the child's body," and added, "The theft was not the main issue; the condition of the body was abnormal, so I realized this was a serious problem and decided to report it."
