Hecto Group Hosts Blood Donation Campaign 'HectoEnd' to Overcome Blood Supply Shortage
[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Hyowon] Hecto Group (Min&Ji, Settlebank, Bioeleven) announced on the 26th that it conducted an employee blood donation campaign called ‘Hecto&(HectoAnd)’ to overcome the blood supply shortage caused by COVID-19.
In ‘Hecto&(HectoAnd)’, the & (And) symbolizes World Blood Cancer Day and signifies solidarity with patients.
The blood donation campaign, held over three days from the 23rd to the 25th, involved employees from Min&Ji, Settlebank, and Bioeleven, subsidiaries of Hecto Group, practicing warm sharing. Hecto Group encouraged employee participation through internal events, such as providing Kim Seokjin Lab multivitamins to blood donors.
The blood donation certificates collected through the campaign will be delivered to the Korea Blood Cancer Association. Since 2020, Hecto Group has been donating Dishimone probiotics monthly to 30 blood cancer patients through the Korea Blood Cancer Association.
Chu Mijeong, Deputy Director of the Korea Blood Cancer Association, said, “Due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, the number of people willing to donate blood has decreased, resulting in a continuous shortage of blood supply. We sincerely thank all Hecto Group employees who actively participated in this event.”
A Hecto Group representative stated, “This blood donation campaign was organized to provide even a little help to patients and families struggling due to blood shortages. Going forward, Hecto Group will continue to practice sustainable ESG management through various social contribution activities.”
