Suwon City Recruits 209 University Students for Internship Program
[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Suwon City in Gyeonggi Province is recruiting 209 university students to participate in the '2022 Second Half University Student Internship Program' from May 30 to June 9.
The university student internship program was introduced to provide university students preparing for employment with the opportunity to work at government offices and experience the field of city administration.
The selected interns will work at City Hall, four district offices, business offices, and Dong Administrative Welfare Centers from July 5 to 29.
They will work Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., receiving a base wage (10,220 KRW per hour) and weekly holiday allowance.
Applicants must be residents registered in Suwon as of the announcement date (May 23), be 34 years old or younger (born after May 23, 1987), and be currently enrolled or on leave from university. Graduate students and those who have previously participated in university student internship programs or youth workplace experience programs are not eligible to apply.
Applications can be submitted by clicking the university student internship recruitment banner on the Suwon City website. Interns will be selected by random drawing. Selected students will be notified via text message, and the results will be announced on the Suwon City website.

Work departments will be assigned randomly using a random number program after collecting preferred work locations in the four districts of Jangan, Gwonseon, Paldal, and Yeongtong.
