Partnering with Cloud Specialists to Fully Support Cloud Adoption
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] The Seoul Business Agency (SBA) announced on the 26th that it will actively promote the 'Cloud Preparation and Adoption Support Project' this year, which supports all processes from cloud design to usage for Seoul-based companies struggling with cloud adoption.
Cloud technology has recently gained more attention as an infrastructure technology that alleviates the digital technology gap deepening between small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and large corporations due to the rapid spread of 4th Industrial Revolution technologies. In particular, SMEs, which generally have lower productivity and limited capacity for IT infrastructure investment, need cloud adoption more as it allows them to utilize data and the latest digital technologies at a low cost.
Accordingly, the agency plans to provide one-stop support for cloud adoption by partnering with specialized cloud companies such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Megazone Cloud, offering everything from AWS credits to one-on-one expert consulting for optimized cloud design.
Subsequently, outstanding companies that achieve business innovation based on the cloud will be separately selected and provided with follow-up support of up to 10 million KRW per company for cloud usage. Around five excellent companies will be selected based on business innovation and economic effectiveness through cloud adoption, and the follow-up support funds can be used to further advance their cloud systems.

All SMEs and startups located in Seoul with the intention of digital transformation based on cloud can participate, and applications can be submitted online through the official website of the Seoul Business Agency until June 8.
