CJ Olive Young Introduces Flexible Work Hours and Casual Dress Code... "Organizational Culture Becomes Younger"
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] CJ Olive Young announced on the 25th that it will fully implement a flexible working hours system and a casual dress code to strengthen its young and flexible organizational culture.
According to Olive Young, the average age of its employees is 29, making it the youngest organization within the CJ Group. About 95% of the total employees are in their 20s and 30s.
To further expand the strengths of its young organizational culture, Olive Young will start implementing the flexible working hours system for headquarters employees from this month. The flexible working hours system allows employees to autonomously decide their working hours without the mandatory 8-hour workday. It is characterized by the freedom to work considering projects, work schedules, and personal circumstances.
Reflecting the demands of MZ generation (Millennials + Generation Z) members, the dress code has also been newly revised to actively support flexible and creative work. The existing business casual dress code has been relaxed, allowing employees to dress freely according to TPO (time, place, occasion) when coming to work. Hoodies, shorts, sandals, and other casual wear are now freely permitted.
