Seongnam City Increases Tax Credit for Local Tax 'Auto Transfer and Electronic Delivery'
[Asia Economy (Seongnam) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Seongnam City in Gyeonggi Province will increase the deduction amount for local tax electronic delivery and automatic transfer payment to enhance taxpayer convenience and improve the efficiency of tax administration.
Seongnam City announced on the 25th that if only one of electronic delivery or automatic transfer is applied for, the deduction amount per tax bill will be raised from 500 won to 800 won, and if both are applied for, the deduction amount will increase from 1,000 won to 1,600 won.
Automatic transfer can be done via two methods: deposit account and credit card. Applications are available at each district office tax department, all banks, and Wetax.
Electronic delivery is a method of sending tax bills via email or mobile app instead of paper bills. Applications can be made through financial payment apps, simple payment apps (Naver, KakaoPay, Payco), Wetax, and district office tax departments.

A city official stated, "The deduction amount was increased to activate payment methods and to reflect the deduction amount realistically," adding, "We will continue to do our best to develop local tax administration and provide tax administrative services that satisfy taxpayers."
