The Gijang-gun Federation of Life Improvement conducts traditional jang transmission education annually with the purpose of practicing Korean-style food culture.
To preserve traditional food culture, the federation has been making traditional doenjang and soy sauce by hand, including ▲making doenjang ▲separating soy sauce ▲scooping doenjang.
This year, they provided traditional jang manufacturing technology education to marriage immigrants, raising awareness of the excellence of traditional food culture and the benefits of traditional jang.
To practice neighborly love sharing, the executives also donated 125 containers (250 kg) of traditional doenjang they made themselves to the Gijang-gun Happiness Sharing Division.
The donated items are scheduled to be delivered to socially vulnerable groups such as elderly living alone and basic livelihood security recipients through five towns and townships.
