President Yoon Selected as One of Time Magazine's 100 Most Influential People in the World in 2022
[Asia Economy Reporter Ki-min Lee] President Yoon Suk-yeol has been selected as one of TIME magazine's 100 Most Influential People in the World for 2022.
The Presidential Office stated in a press release distributed on the 23rd, "TIME announced at 9:15 PM Korean time that President Yoon was selected as one of the 100 most influential people in the world in 2022, in the Leaders category."
Since 2004, TIME has annually selected and announced the 100 most influential people worldwide. This year, a total of 100 people were selected and announced across six categories: Leader, Pioneer, Artist, Innovator, Icon, and Titan. The related announcement will be published in the June 6 and 13 issues of TIME magazine.
Among past presidents, former Presidents Moon Jae-in and Park Geun-hye were selected in the Leaders category of the 'Most Influential People' in 2018 and 2013, respectively.

In addition to President Yoon, TIME also selected director Hwang Dong-hyuk, who directed "Ojingeo Game" (Squid Game), in the Titans category of the year.
