Gwangju Buk-gu, Recruiting 10 New Members Each for Buk-gu Choir and Senior Choir
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yukbong] Buk-gu, Gwangju City announced on the 23rd that it will recruit new members to join the Buk-gu Choir and Senior Choir until the 13th of next month.
The eligibility for the Buk-gu Choir is female residents aged 20 to 64 who are registered residents of Buk-gu, and the Senior Choir is for residents aged 65 and older. Members must participate in regular rehearsals every Tuesday and Friday and occasional performances.
The practical exam is scheduled to take place on June 15, and applicants must choose and perform one of the three designated songs.
The Buk-gu Choir was founded in 2000 and the Senior Choir in 2008, with about 40 members each actively contributing to the promotion of local culture and arts.
In particular, they have been widely recognized for their performance skills through awards at various national choir competitions and also contribute their talents through consolation performances.
A Buk-gu official said, “We hope many residents with passion to participate in various performances and events as choir members will apply.”
