Starting from the 23rd, the interior of Cheongwadae Yeongbingwan and Chunuchgwan will also be open to the public
[Asia Economy Reporter Seomideum] The Cultural Heritage Administration will open the Yeongbingwan and the interior of the Chunchoogwan among the facilities within the Blue House grounds starting from the 23rd, marking two weeks since the Blue House was opened to the public, providing visitors with an opportunity to directly experience this historic site.
This additional opening was arranged in response to the overwhelming public interest, with over 5 million people applying to visit through the "Blue House, to the People" website operated from the 10th to the 22nd.
Since the Blue House was opened to the public on the 10th, the interiors of the buildings had not been accessible. However, with the Yeongbingwan, which has been used as an official venue for dinners for foreign dignitaries, and the Chunchoogwan, the location of presidential press conferences and where resident reporters were stationed, now renovated, these interiors are being opened to the public for the first time.
In the first-floor hall of Yeongbingwan, where official events and banquets for foreign dignitaries were held, visitors can freely walk around and view exhibition panels introducing the history of Yeongbingwan. On the first floor of Chunchoogwan, which served as the venue for various government press announcements and Blue House press conferences, a photo zone has been set up where visitors can experience being a spokesperson. On the second floor, visitors can tour the briefing room where government policies were announced, allowing the public to experience the Blue House buildings in a more familiar way.
