According to Seoul Metropolitan Government and other local governments, from midnight to 9 PM on this day, a total of 18,770 people across 17 cities and provinces nationwide were confirmed positive for COVID-19.
This number is 4,322 fewer than the 23,092 cases reported during the same time frame the previous day. Compared to two weeks ago on the 7th, when 38,735 cases were reported during the same time frame, this is a decrease of 19,965 cases, more than half.
As of 9 PM on this day, new confirmed cases were 7,773 (41.4%) in the metropolitan area and 10,997 (58.6%) in non-metropolitan areas.
