POSCO Holdings Discusses ESG with Investment Institutions and Suppliers
Roundtable Meeting Held with Investment Institutions, Academia, and Suppliers in Attendance
[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Chaeseok] POSCO Holdings announced on the 20th that it discussed major ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) issues that need to be systematically managed at the POSCO Group level with investment institutions, academia, and suppliers at the POSCO Center in Gangnam-gu, Seoul.
The roundtable held the previous day included stakeholders such as Shin Wangkyeon, Chairman of the National Pension Service Trustee Responsibility Committee; Lim Daewoong, member of the Economic and Industrial Subcommittee of the 2050 Carbon Neutral Green Growth Committee; Professor Bae Su-il of Sungkyunkwan University; Kim Dongchan, Executive Director of Chosun Refractories; and Yang Byungho, Head of the ESG Team at POSCO Holdings. The participants proposed ESG-related requirements to the group and exchanged opinions on balanced growth and sustainable development.
Team Leader Yang said, "The discussed matters will be reflected in the POSCO Group's ESG strategy and policy formulation," adding, "POSCO Holdings will continue to do its best to contribute to opening a sustainable future for humanity as a leading eco-friendly future materials company."
