Pulmuone to Sell Korean-Made 'Traditional Kimchi' at Walmart Stores in the US

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Song Seung-yoon] Pulmuone announced on the 20th that starting this month, it has begun selling traditional kimchi produced in Korea at over 400 Walmart stores, the largest retailer in the United States.
Under the 'Pulmuone' exclusive brand, this is the first time traditional kimchi produced in Korea has been introduced and sold in major U.S. retail stores. Since 2019, Pulmuone has been supplying vegan kimchi to various mainstream U.S. markets, including Walmart, Kroger, and Publix.
Based on the importance of the origin of raw materials due to the nature of fermented foods, Pulmuone maintains an export strategy of producing kimchi in Korea and shipping it to the U.S. The kimchi produced at the Global Kimchi Factory in Iksan, Jeonbuk, is exported to the U.S. using Pulmuone's accumulated fermentation know-how applied through the ‘Kimjangdok Cooling System.’ The kimchi introduced this time is a central-style kimchi with a clean taste based on salted shrimp, tailored to local consumers' preferences.
