According to the Gwangju Northern Fire Station on the 19th, a fire occurred at around 10:40 PM the previous day in a Korean medicine hospital building located in Maegok-dong, Buk-gu.
There were no casualties, but about 20 hospitalized patients evacuated to escape the fire.
Thirteen fire trucks and more than 30 personnel were deployed and extinguished the flames within about 20 minutes.

The fire authorities reported that the fire started in a vacant room on the first floor of the building and are investigating the exact property damage and cause of the fire.
