Hyundai Department Store Daegu Branch Spring Art Fair... "Featuring Works by Renowned Artists"
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] Hyundai Department Store announced on the 19th that it will hold an art fair at its Daegu branch from the 20th of this month until the 12th of next month.
This fair serves as a preview event for the 'International Daegu Art Fair,' one of the top three domestic art fairs organized by the Daegu Gallery Association. More than 50 galleries from the Daegu and Gyeongbuk regions will participate, showcasing over 380 works by renowned domestic and international artists, including American artist Catherine Bernhard, who is very popular among the MZ generation (Millennials + Generation Z), world-famous pop artist KAWS, as well as Lee Ufan, Andy Warhol, and Yayoi Kusama.
Hyundai Department Store has arranged the 9th-floor cultural hall and the permanent cultural exhibition space 'Gallery H' at the Daegu branch as exhibition venues, and plans to display major sculptures on the 2nd and 3rd floors. All artworks presented during the fair will be available for purchase, and various attractions such as busking performances at the Sky Garden will also be offered.

A Hyundai Department Store official said, "As consumer interest in collecting artworks has recently increased significantly, we are regularly holding various art exhibitions mainly at major stores," adding, "We plan to continuously present high-quality exhibitions and performances so that customers can enjoy cultural and artistic content pleasantly and comfortably within the department store."
