[Asia Economy Reporter Song Seung-seop] The Korea Deposit Insurance Corporation sold 17 million shares of Woori Financial Group on the 18th.
The sale was conducted through a block sale before the stock market opened on the same day, following the resolution of the Public Fund Management Committee. As a result of the sale, KDIC's remaining stake in Woori Financial Group decreased from 3.62% to 1.29%.
The public funds recovered from the share sale amounted to 258.9 billion KRW. The total recovered amount reached 12.8658 trillion KRW, exceeding the support funds of 12.7663 trillion KRW by approximately 100 billion KRW. The cumulative recovery rate is currently 100.8%.
