Calligrapher Dangu Jang Nam-hyuk to Hold '9-Style Thousand Character Classic Exhibition'

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heeyoon] Baegak Art Museum announced on the 17th that it will hold a solo exhibition titled "9 Styles Thousand Character Classic Exhibition" by calligrapher Dangu (丹丘) Jang Namhyuk.
In this exhibition, the artist presents works written in nine different calligraphy styles?Seal Script, Small Seal Script, Wooden Slip Script, Clerical Script, Gwanggaeto the Great Stele Script, Regular Script, Semi-cursive Script, Cursive Script, and Extended Cursive Script?based on Kim Gyun's Daedong Thousand Character Classic (大東千字文) and Juhungsa's Thousand Character Classic (千字文).
The artist is recognized for challenging the depth and breadth of Chinese character calligraphy art by reinterpreting 18,000 characters. A book with the same title as the exhibition has also been published and will be introduced through the exhibition.
