Candidates Oh Se-hoon and Kim Eun-hye Sign Policy Agreement on 9 Seoul and Gyeonggi Projects... Early Completion of GTX Lines
Policy Agreement Ceremony Held on the Morning of the 16th
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] Oh Se-hoon, the People Power Party candidate for Seoul mayor, held a policy agreement ceremony with Kim Eun-hye, the Gyeonggi Province governor candidate, focusing on the early completion of the GTX line, the establishment and expansion of bus routes between Seoul and Gyeonggi Province.
On the 16th, Oh announced that he held the 'Together for the Future! Seoul (Oh Se-hoon) - Gyeonggi (Kim Eun-hye) Policy Agreement Ceremony' with Kim at the Press Center in Jung-gu in the morning. This agreement is promoted with the purpose of 'joint projects for improving the quality of life of Seoul citizens and Gyeonggi residents and for mutual regional development.'
The two candidates promised cooperation on ▲ early completion of the GTX line and extension and express service of Seoul city subway lines into Gyeonggi Province ▲ establishment and expansion of metropolitan and late-night bus routes between Seoul and Gyeonggi ▲ resolving traffic congestion at Seoul boundary sections and improving transportation convenience facilities such as transfer stops ▲ cooperation on eco-friendly policies including management of old diesel vehicles to improve clear and clean air quality.
Additionally, they agreed to cooperate on ▲ preservation of ecological environment and water quality improvement of the Han River and its tributaries to create a pleasant environment ▲ establishment and operation of a comprehensive response system for rapid response to metropolitan disasters ▲ joint provision of life-experience services using digital platform administration of Seoul and Gyeonggi ▲ creation of advanced industrial clusters linking Pangyo-Gwacheon in Gyeonggi and the southeastern region of Seoul ▲ cooperation system for welfare projects for better lives of the elderly, children, and disabled.
Oh said, "Looking back to when I managed Seoul 10 years ago, meaningful changes occurred in a cooperative atmosphere like today between Seoul and Gyeonggi, such as the integrated public transportation transfer discount between Seoul and Gyeonggi," adding, "If I can work together with (candidate Kim Eun-hye) after the election, I am confident that benefits can quickly reach Gyeonggi residents."
