Suwon City Excels in Corporate Tax Audit... Selected as Best Institution
[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Suwon City in Gyeonggi Province has been selected as the best institution for corporate tax audits.
On the 16th, Suwon City announced that it was chosen as the best institution in the "2022 Corporate Tax Audit Performance Evaluation," conducted by Gyeonggi Province, which evaluated 31 cities and counties in the province based on six indicators including corporate tax audit performance, compliance rate, and efforts to improve the work environment.
Suwon City received high marks in this evaluation by conducting a business-friendly tax audit, which included gathering opinions from the audited corporations as much as possible to determine the audit schedule and methods, thereby easing the burden on corporations struggling due to COVID-19.
It was also recognized for its contribution to expanding local finances. By enhancing the expertise of audit officials, operating tax audits fairly, and uncovering evaded and omitted tax sources, it was found to have collected an additional 6.9 billion KRW.
