Japan: Object Possibly a North Korean Ballistic Missile Falls Near EEZ
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunwoo Lee] The Japanese government announced that the object appears to have fallen near its Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ).
According to NHK, on the 12th, the Japan Coast Guard announced at 6:33 PM that they had received information from the Ministry of Defense indicating that a projectile, possibly a ballistic missile, was launched from North Korea. Eleven minutes later, at 6:43 PM, they further announced that the Ministry of Defense reported the object, possibly a ballistic missile, appears to have already fallen.

NHK reported that multiple Japanese government officials stated the location of the fall seems to be outside the waters defined by the Japanese government as its Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ).
