Koreeda's 'Broker' Unveiled on the 26th
World Premiere of Cannes International Film Festival at Lumi?re Grand Theatre
Director Hirokazu Koreeda's film "Broker" will unveil at the Cannes International Film Festival on the 26th (local time). Distributor CJ ENM announced on the 12th that the film, officially invited to the competition section, will hold its world premiere at 7 p.m. at the Lumi?re Grand Theatre. The official press conference will be held the following day. Director Koreeda, along with lead actors Song Kang-ho, Kang Dong-won, Lee Ji-eun (IU), and Lee Joo-young, are expected to attend. "Broker" is a drama depicting the unexpected journey of people connected through a baby box. Director Koreeda, who won the Palme d'Or at Cannes with "Shoplifters" (2018), collaborated with domestic actors and production staff. The production was handled by the film company Jip. The domestic release date is July 8.
