Mokam Life Science Research Institute Holds 38th Anniversary Ceremony
[Asia Economy Reporter Chunhee Lee] Mokam Life Science Research Institute announced on the 10th that it held its 38th anniversary ceremony on the 9th at the institute auditorium in Yongin-si, Gyeonggi Province.
Director Kim Seon said in his anniversary speech, "This year marks the first year of Mokam Research Institute's leap into an artificial intelligence research institute," adding, "We will contribute to the public good by engaging in various activities based on a long-term vision while striving for new drug development through diverse industry-academia collaborations." Recently, Mokam Research Institute has been recruiting experts in artificial intelligence (AI) and bioinformatics to develop into a new drug development institute incorporating these technologies. In January, it became the first domestic pharmaceutical company to establish a joint research collaboration with Seoul National University AI Research Institute, accelerating research on various diseases and therapeutics.
