Jeep's Compact SUV 'New Compass' Domestic Launch Imminent... "Pre-orders Start on 23rd"
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunseok Yoo] Jeep is introducing the facelifted model of its compact sport utility vehicle (SUV), the ‘New Compass,’ to the domestic market.
Jeep announced on the 9th that, ahead of the official domestic launch scheduled for June, due to a surge in customer inquiries and interest, pre-orders will be available starting from the 23rd at all official Jeep dealerships nationwide.
The 'New Compass' is a facelifted version of the second-generation Compass, which was first launched domestically in 2018 and debuted at the 2021 Chicago Auto Show. The Compass is Jeep’s representative urban SUV that combines ruggedness for off-road driving with refined on-road performance. It targets reasonable romantics who dream of adventures in nature even amid the intense urban lifestyle and are always ready to set off.
Based on a 2.4-liter MultiAir gasoline engine, it pairs with 6-speed and 9-speed automatic transmissions, and the drivetrain options include front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive. Domestically, it will be offered in three trims depending on the powertrain and convenience features: Limited 2.4 FWD, Limited 2.4 AWD, and S 2.4 AWD.
The exterior design of the New Compass is characterized by a luxurious and modern reinterpretation of Jeep heritage. Its refined interior, which enhances connectivity with customers, and more than 75 advanced driving safety technologies including semi-autonomous driving features, are also notable advantages. The comfortable on-road driving performance befitting an urban SUV further enhances satisfaction.
