View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Changhwan Lee] Foreign media reported on the 7th (local time) that Russian forces bombed a school building in Ukraine, killing 2 people and leaving dozens still trapped under the rubble.
Serhiy Haidai, governor of Luhansk Province, Ukraine, claimed that on the same day, Russian bombers dropped bombs on a school in the Bilohorivka area, about 11 km from the front line.
He stated, "Most of the villagers who could not escape the Donbas region were hiding here," adding, "After the village hall was hit, the school basement was the only shelter, and the Russian forces did not miss this opportunity."
Governor Haidai explained that about 90 people were hiding in the school basement, and currently 30 have been rescued from the rubble, but 2 have died and 7 were injured.
He also said that rescue operations are ongoing, but "about 60 people remain under the building debris and are likely deceased."

Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated in a video speech on the same day that nearly 200 Ukrainian cultural heritage sites have been destroyed or damaged about two and a half months after the Russian invasion.
